Before you depart on your journey, you will be required to use the RoadMate Manager software designed to help you manage and plan the details your trip. You will then simply upload the data to the Megellan 300 GPS unit. Though the RoadMate 300 has no hard drive it does have 110MB of internal memory, 30MB of which are already preloaded with maps detailing the major roads and highways of 48 U.S. states including Hawaii, Canada, and Puerto Rico.
